This June, Reach for Greatness awarded its very first scholarships—three ambitious Keys students received full funding for summer programs at Cornell University, Washington, D.C., and Camp Blanding. With just $3,450 left to raise, every donation now has double the impact thanks to a $5,000 matching pledge from Katie and Rich Beeson. Together, we’re building opportunities that let young leaders dream bigger, start sooner, and reach for greatness.

Reach for Greatness Inc. is officially off the ground! In just our first month, we’ve filed as a nonprofit, built our board, launched our website, raised $12,800, and secured a $5,000 matching pledge from Katie and Rich Beeson. With scholarship applications now open across the Florida Keys, we’re on a mission to ensure no student has to wait to be great.

Violet Jangraw, a Key West High School student, founded Reach for Greatness Inc. after realizing that earning an opportunity is only half the battle — paying for it can be nearly impossible. Her nonprofit is dedicated to helping ambitious students, especially those overlooked by traditional scholarships, pursue life-changing educational and personal growth experiences. With scholarships and resources, Reach for Greatness empowers young people to take bold steps toward their future — because greatness shouldn’t have to wait.
