Heather Jangraw, Secretary and Treasurer
Heather Jangraw is a dedicated artist, community leader, and proud veteran whose life has been shaped by service, creativity, and a deep love of place. Originally from Michigan, Heather has called Key West home for the past 10 years, embracing the island’s vibrant culture and turning it into both her inspiration and her canvas.
A 2002 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Heather served with distinction in the U.S. Army, completing two combat tours in Iraq in 2004 and 2006. Her time in uniform instilled in her a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and leadership that continues to guide her in civilian life.
After transitioning from military service, Heather found a new calling in education. She taught for five years at The Basilica School of St. Mary in Key West, where she shared her passion for learning and mentorship with local youth. Her classroom was known for its energy, compassion, and connection to the wider world.
Today, Heather channels her creative spirit into painting, producing bold and vibrant works inspired by the colors, energy, and natural beauty of the Florida Keys. Her art reflects her appreciation for her coastal surroundings and has earned recognition in local exhibitions and galleries.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Heather plays an active role in the community as Vice President of the Board for Walk on White Street, a monthly art stroll that showcases Key West’s thriving creative scene. Her leadership helps foster local talent and build a strong sense of artistic community on the island.
Heather is also a devoted mother of three, balancing her many roles with warmth, strength, and an adventurous spirit. Whether traveling with her family, painting in her studio, or supporting fellow artists, Heather lives each day with intention and joy.
