Chris Gaenzle is a seasoned legal and business executive with over 25 years of leadership experience across the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and legal sectors. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel at PRA Health Sciences, a leading global contract research organization. During his tenure from 2019 to 2021, Gaenzle provided strategic oversight of legal, administrative, and corporate functions during a critical growth phase, helping position the company for its acquisition by ICON plc.

Prior to PRA Health Sciences, Gaenzle held multiple executive roles at Syneos Health (formerly INC Research/inVentiv Health), including Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. At Syneos, he played a pivotal role in the integration of INC Research and inVentiv Health, leading cross-functional teams across legal, corporate development, procurement, quality assurance, and real estate.

From 2012 to 2017, Gaenzle served in progressive leadership roles at INC Research, culminating in his appointment as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. There, he oversaw global legal strategy, M&A initiatives, and corporate governance for a company operating in over 50 countries with more than 6,700 employees.

Earlier in his career, Gaenzle was Assistant General Counsel at Pfizer Inc., where he advised on global legal matters for one of the world’s largest biopharmaceutical companies. He began his legal career in private practice, first as an associate at Crews & Hancock and later as a partner at Hunton & Williams, where he focused on corporate law and commercial transactions.

Chris holds a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, with additional legal studies completed at Washington and Lee University School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colgate University. His broad expertise spans legal strategy, corporate governance, M&A, and operational integration, making him a trusted advisor in complex, highly regulated industries.
