Violet Jangraw Founder

Violet is a driven and creative sophomore at Key West High School whose passions span from fashion and athletics to advocacy and community service. With a bold spirit and a heart for helping others, Violet exemplifies the power of initiative and resilience.

A natural explorer, Violet spent a transformative year sailing the Caribbean with her parents and two siblings, an experience that broadened her worldview and sparked her love of travel, reading, and sewing. During their voyage, she taught herself to sew, turning spare fabric into original creations—a skill she has continued to develop ever since. Now back in Key West, she is a proud member of her school’s Fashion Club, where she continues to pursue design and self-expression.

Violet is also a dedicated athlete, competing on both the cross country and track teams, where her determination and endurance shine through.

Her most remarkable accomplishment to date is founding the nonprofit Reach for Greatness, an organization born from personal experience. When Violet sought funding to attend a prestigious Columbia University law program, she found that most scholarships were restricted to seniors—leaving younger students with big dreams without support. Rather than be discouraged, Violet turned that challenge into a mission. Through Reach for Greatness, she is working to ensure that every student in the Florida Keys has access to resources and opportunities, regardless of age or background.

With a passion for justice, a love for learning, and a genuine desire to lift others up, Violet Jangraw is not just preparing for the future—she’s already shaping it.
